Naked By Review

Naked By is a fresh new site from a photographer in Paris, France who goes by Gilles. The site offers a now familiar magazine cover concept, and was launched recently in June of 2006.

This studio site uses a regular pool of about 20 models at the moment, and you'll see the same girl more than once in most, if not all cases. Some of the girls look to be more eastern european, though the site is from France. It's nice to see a site from France really, there just aren't that many out there, Explicite Art and What French Girls Know come to mind.

The photos at Naked By come in 3 sizes (s, m, l) and you can download the photos in ZIP archives, but only in medium resolution. I'd really like to see them offer the high resolution images in ZIP files, too. I found using the site to browse the photos was fine for me. The number of photos is displayed on every magazine style cover, and there are usually 45-75 photos per set.

I found the level of nudity to be perhaps a bit higher than let's say a Met-Art, with quite a few spread eagle shots, etc. Certainly nothing obscene or hardcore, and no pink, but there are many full frontal spreading shots. I liked it.

The movies on the site were really well executed, with artsy music, lots of eye contact with the girl, and usually a slow strip tease. The resolution was around 750x575, pretty big but certainly not high def. Again I'd love to see them put up some great high definition content, it would suit their style of shooting perfectly.

I spoke with the owners of Naked By, and they've assured me that their coming movie updates will be in higher resolution (perhaps even HD quality?) as they've purchased a new 3CCD video camera. We look forward to seeing these!
