Classic Porn Box Review

Billing itself as the classic porn movie archive, I was pretty intrigued by this vintage adult website from their front page. The web design is perhaps purposefully classic as well, with basic tables, text links, and grainy graphics. Perhaps the big spinning disco ball instead of a logo says it all.

What made me interested was multifold. The box covers featured around the site were a blast from the past in themselves, and made what they offer here seem genuine. They claim to have 500 classic porn flicks on the site, with a list of titles to prove it in a dropdown. Almost! The links in the dropdown aren’t links at all, it’s just a big list. Would be nice if that worked in the free area and showed you a boxcover for example.

They do have some basic movie profiles and box covers for many films, just click on a cover on their main page. I guess they just don’t have them for all 500.

30 new movies are added monthly it says on the front as well, so they keep it updated with brand new old material!

After you become a member and login, you’ve got one basic browsing option. Browse titles by alphabet. Once you choose a letter, the next page is actually really good. Probably the worst looking to the best looking transition I’ve yet to see in a members area.

You get a nice cover for each video, the names of the talent, the size of the movie, and a link to download it as a single file. Some of the files are huge too! For example just on the first page I see a 1,142mb video, and more: 627mb, 818mb, 758mb, 940mb, 735mb, 717mb, Samantha Fox… And that’s just part of the movies that start with A.

Guessing that the letter S would be larger than average, I did a count, and it contained 82 movies, ranging from 1970-1989. Again, guessing the average size is around 600mb per movie, that’s nearly 50GB of vintage porn movies that begin with the letter S.

No pictures at all. Classic Porn Box has classic vintage porn dvd’s, nothing more, nothing less.

One thing that bugged me a bit was that there’s no way to sort by model in the members area. Kind of a silly mistake too, as you can get a list of the movies a model is in from their free tour in a dropdown box, and can even see the covers. So if you decide to sign up here remember that trick to lookup what movies a particular pornstar is in.

The resolutions on the videos are surprisingly low for the file sizes, but long. A whole movie with all the scenes is in each file. They’re all from VHS tapes at some point too, so I think the quality is about as good as can be expected.

Easy choice for fans of vintage porn. Give this one a whirl you won’t be disappointed. There really is 500 quality movies here for your downloading pleasure, seemingly handpicked by someone who knows their classic porno.
