Lukey Review

The thing that surprises me most about porn these days is actually getting surprised with anything. It’s just hard to stand out, it seems like everything has been done before, and done to death. The internet really changed all that, but it also subjects us to Internet time, where a year is worth five in the old days.

Lukey surprised me. A simple site concept, but done well, and with care. I should back up.

Lukey is the amateur site of a guy named Luke who hails from somewhere in England. He travels to various cities and towns around the UK and hires escorts who are willing to be filmed for his porn site. It’s quite interesting, as it actually legalizes having sex with them – they’re getting paid as actresses, not escorts.

The producer Lukey admits on his tour that he lost his virginity to an escort, and that he just loves the concept of having sex with a girl he’d met just moments before. He obviously loves his job, but I guess that goes without saying. What I mean is that he’s very passionate about what he does. Instead of just going through the motions for him, it’s thoughts, feelings, adrenaline, a real event.

This is a new site that was launched this year in February 2009. He shoots a girl – I mean, contracts an escort – every week. As such, there are currently 16 sets on the site, and all include photos and video.

Being a new site, I’m happy to say he’s taking advantage of all the new technology available, including streaming flash videos in the members area, plus big HD sized downloadable clips.

Instead of offering a full sized HD video which would be huge, he splits them into segments according to what happened in the scene. So it might go something like 1. Conversation 2. Dancing and Undressing 3. Sucking 4. Masturbating and feeling 5. Fucking and Doggystyle 6. Fucking and cumshot. Never seen that done before really. Each segment is huge too, usually 175-300mb each part, at 1280×720 HD resolution.

You can also download the movies as a full file, but not in HD quality. There are low, medium and high quality options for those though.

The girls range in age, looks and willingness to reveal themselves on camera. In about 25% of the sets, they wear eye masks to slightly hide their identity. Understandable considering their line of work. While it may seem natural to also shoot porn, many of these women have never been filmed before, it’s not their core business after all.

There are large descriptions alongside each video, explaining what happened, any thoughts he had, his opinions of the girl, all kinds of very interesting stuff. For once, I actually found myself reading it. So many scene descriptions are just stuffed up with keywords nowadays, talking about the girls in crude ways to get the nasty words in. Nice to have a change from that with something, well, real!

Overall an interesting site that will appeal to amateur porn fans, and people who get escorts themselves – or wish they did. Let’s just hope he keeps the updates flowing and turns this into a real resource.
