Morey Studio Review
Craig Morey is a well known erotic photographer. He has been in the business for more than 25 years. He has worked for Penthouse among others, and even published his own books. He is devoted to black and white photography. His site is a collection of his work up till today, not only the new stuff.
The website’s structure and design is not the best. Upon entering the members’ area (or Private Archive), you’ll see samples of the newest galleries. The older updates are on the left side – you’ll have to click on them one by one. There are ~140 galleries online at the moment, they don’t have great numbers of photos in each. As they belong to fine art, not porn, it’s okay, as often photographers will only publish the “cream of the crop”. Craig likes to show stretched bodies, and strange poses. There’s a little bit of bondage flavour to them as well, you’ll see ropes and leather in quite some sets. Morey keeps adding his old and new pictures, also scanning the old negatives. Photo quality varies, because of the resolution. Some have way too low res, while others are okay. I missed ZIP file downloads.
There’s a Hi-Res Archive, where there are 20 extra hi-res pictures. They are very nice, I wish everything on this site was like them. You also get some screen savers.
The members got some discounts. You get 20% off his books. Also, there’s an option to see Craig at work, it’s called Observer Workshop. Members have to pay 15$ less.
You can discuss things with Craig Morey on the Forum, he answers his members. There’s also a nice, regularly updated diary on the right side of the members’ page.
2-3 sets are added each week.
This is a true erotic site of an artist. Not a porn site. It won’t be hard to decide whether to join. Just check out our samples, and the free section of the site. If you’re into Craig’s work, go ahead. The price is fair, 10$ monthly, which drops to 7$ after the third month.
It’s been over a year since we last looked at the website of Craig Morey aptly named Morey Studio, so let’s check in and see what’s happening.
Upon entry I see that the galleries are listed on a long left sidebar, while there’s some content in the centre of the page, books below, and text updates from Craig Morey on the right. This is really the only main page of the members area, but serves a site such as this pretty well.
The galleries are dated which is really nice, and model’s name is listed. Often the models appear for a few sets throughout the site. You’ll notice that most of the photos are black and white, and the colour galleries are labelled as such. I even saw one gallery that was posted in colour, black and white, AND with artistic retouching.
Craig Morey also has a good business being featured in numerous books, and selling print versions of his work as well. Much of his work can be purchased as posters and for framing through his website.
Overall a good site for fans of artistic nude photography, yet certainly not a typical porn site! Expect lots of bondage, very interesting poses and bodies twisting in ways you may never have thought possible. The price has changed slightly since the last review, it’s now $14.95 for the first month, and $11.95 for every month thereafter.
