Nuglam Review

Nuglam is a new website in the artistic nudes arena, with a mix of eroticism, fetish and photographic artistry. I’m looking at their tour and it says they offer photos up to 6000 pixels and videos with 1500k/s bitrates. They claim to update 3 times weekly with new photos and videos, and use pretty glam models from Europe as their subjects.

After logging in, I wasn’t super happy to see how they do their members area. It’s not the content, which I haven’t even looked at yet, but the web design itself. They seem to use some kind of “photo album” software to make their members area, so it looks more like a database than a members area. There’s some main categories with a few thumbnails, and things are broken down by year, most viewed (which isn’t working it seems) and a videos section. It says there is 4,306 files, in 97 albums, in 3 categories. I honestly don’t know where to click first.

I decided to click on 2008, and I feel a bit better, bring on the ladies! It seems Nuglam uses rather well known models from Europe, such as Veronika Vanoza, Monique, Kelly Norton, Ashley Robbins, Marketa, and lots of other beautiful models I don’t recognize.

This site looks fairly new, and their photography is quite good. However there are some photo sets that seem blurry to me, like the lighting wasn’t right, you can see for yourself in the samples. I should say though that I notice this sometimes at other high-end photography sites too, especially if they shoot outdoors or in darker places. Just fuzziness I guess you’d call it. Besides, I get tired of seeing girls in perfectly lit studios all the time.

The videos are well executed, and pretty much what you’d expect from a fine art nudes site such as Nuglam. They have music in them, are slow and erotic, and some even have dildo masturbation and whatnot. The ones I downloaded range from 50mb to 150mb, and from 5 to 12 minutes long.

A good start but it’s not quite there yet I think, and I wish more effort was put into the members area design. However they’re working hard at this, and have shot some pretty good nude art, so I can’t complain too much. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they can keep up the quality and get a bit better at the webdesign. The website is available in a number of languages though, that’s a nice bonus.

The site is priced accordingly I think too, with memberships starting at $19.95 a month, which recurs at $16.95. There are also multi month options that provide even more value. You can see examples of all the sets by clicking “Archives” on the tour, so you’ll know exactly what you’re getting. That’s always nice!
