Playboy Cyber Club Review

Playboy Cyber Club has been up since as long as I can remember, I think I remember checking it out in 1995 or so (yes, I am a geek.)

If anyone reading this doesn’t know who Playboy or what the CyberClub is, you’ve been hiding under a rather large rock for longer than I’ve been alive. Hugh Hefner’s empire stretches far and wide, and for years now they’ve been running their website with a vengeance. What they’ve created is a mammoth archive of magazine shoots, interviews, behind the scenes videos, monthly pictorials, comments from the models, more features than I’ve seen at any website. There are numerous regulary scheduled video episodes, including some of the shows that can be seen on their television network PlayboyTV.

Everyone should know about the quality of pictures Playboy produces, I don’t think there’s really much need to get into that. Their picture navigation system is simple and easy to use. You can flip from medium to large images, view a thumbnail gallery, plus go forward and reverse, each with a single click. Sometimes the images are shown in a different way, such as in their many special features and events like Mardi Gras, spring break, and the parties they have at Hugh’s mansion. Still, the layout and design are what you’d expect from Playboy, and their website is brimming with features. The videos are low-medium resolution, and can’t be expanded or downloaded, but there is plenty of video content throughout.

When I first saw Playboy back in the mid ninetie’s, it was leading the pack by offering Playboy’s live streaming of girls with chat, for a few bucks a minute. What started with Playboy magazine with it’s centerfolds like Pamela Anderson, Tiffany Taylor, Anna Nicole Smith, Jordan, Brooke Burke, Carmen Electra, Katarina Witt, Jenny Mccarthy… So many beautiful woman. The infamous and highly arrousing playboy bunny, the playboy mansion, the softcore playboy videos, the international versions of their magazine like Playboy Brazil (world cup pictures?!) it’s easy to see why playboy has remained atop while other empires (ahem, penthouse) have fallen.
