Sizzle Review

I hadn’t heard about Sizzle previous to this review, and I quickly realized when browsing through the pictures that this site was pretty old, because they had pictures time stamped with the date 1997. So the last thing I was hoping to encounter when reviewing this site was that the site was just living off its old content, without actually providing new content. More than a few bigname sites have taken this path.

Sizzle has a pretty nice layout and is kind of flashy. The free tour seems to strongly to emphasize the live cams and feeds they offer. The site also claims to have a good picture archive and movie archive, so let’s have a look.

Now that I’m in the site I’ll go to my preferred place, the video section. The movies area is broken into various parts, you select your category – for example chicks on chicks – and choose the page you want to look at. The downfall with this site is that you can’t download the movies and are forced to stream each segment, as most of them are broken into about 3 minute segments.

The picture gallery has the exact same layout and there are quite a few pictures to browse through. The bad part, like I mentioned before is that there are some pretty old pictures, and you don’t really need to see a date to tell they’re old. It also seems the organization of the pictures is pretty bad too.

The overall quality was pretty good, not amazing, but enough to keep you entertained. Remember how I stated they put some strong emphasis on live shows? Well when looking through the site I don’t see it. Sure there is a section for live feeds but most of them are broken, and the rest you can tell they obviously not live. Not to mention some of them request you pay extra for the live feeds.

The quality of the pictures and movies are pretty poor. Some of the movies being far too dark and pretty small since they’re streamed, and not many of the pictures are good resolution or high quality.

The site offers a $4.95 trial and a $34.95 a month membership, which is way too much in my opinion. Personally I would agree with a $20-25 dollar fee perhaps.
